Beats + Eats 2018

Eatertainment threw their second annual Summer party in their office headquarters at 29 Booth Avenue.

The first party acted as an Open House for clients to visit their new office & catering facility and it was such a hit they decided to make it an annual bash. This year the theme was ‘White Hot Summer’ and guests were asked to wear something white or hot (or both!) and this theme was carried through to their event décor including heavenly white clouds set above the seafood station and cocktail bar.

Also a fully enclosed 10 foot high white balloon DJ booth which provided the wow factor in the middle of the event space with a photo booth from SoPro positioned in front for photo opps.

Guests entered the event into a flower garden complete with operating swing and edible sweet tree with tasty truffles and mini desserts courtesy of Delysées.

The ‘Chill Out’ room was encased with a custom holographic vinyl-wrap courtesy of Get Wrapped, with a soft serve cereal bar inside which gave a nostalgic boost to the party as guests selected their favourite childhood cereal like Lucky Charms, Cocoa Puffs and Cinnamon Toast Crunch as toppings. Not to forget custom sprinkles in fun colour varieties, ‘EH?!, ‘Unicorn Glitter’, and ‘Graffiti’. Among the other ‘cool’ items were mango flavoured boozy freezies served to guests outside towards the end of the night as they were dancing.

A chef served mac & cheese out of a large parmesan cheese wheel while guests added their own custom toppings which ranged from jalapeños to Cheetos. The back alleyway was outfitted as a Moroccan style lounge with plush purple couches from Divine Furniture Rental and DJ’s Spectrum Agency spinning in two areas throughout the evening.

Toronto’s viral sensation drag queen Sofonda Cox performed three songs, beginning inside and inviting everyone outside for the finale as she did a quick change to reveal her Carnival-inspired ensemble. Graffiti artist Duro the third painted a live mural during the event, a new take on the common celebratory saying ‘Eat, Drink, and Be Merry’ which summarizes the party – and Eatertainment’s philosophy – perfectly.
